Welcome Guide for New Families
Put together by current parents, this welcome guide answers questions most frequently asked by new families as they are settling in - lunches, PE kits, clubs, buses, sports seasons, instrument tuitions, who is who, etc

If you haven't already done so, please join our 'Onboarding Support Group' for new families, where you will have our Weclome team and some more long-time parents available to answer any questions. The team will be able to help you connect with other parents from your grade or country groups as well as help you with any queries about your first few days at school, or as you settle into your new local environment.

BUDDy families
Existing school families can sign up to be a buddy for new incoming families - make them feel welcome, help answer their questions just before they begin their new school year, and get through the first few days as they settle in.
A great way to make friends, and new families are always grateful for this invaluable support.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR BUDDY FAMILY PROGRAM RUNS DURING THE SUMMER BREAK, AND IS BEST SUITED FOR NEW FAMILIES WITH AN AUGUST START DATE

If you are a new family looking for a buddy, please fill in the following form to request one. This program is very helpful for families looking for help in the summer, when a majority of ACS families may be on holiday. We connect you with someone who you can stay in contact with through the summer weeks, before the start of the school year.
​​
For families with a start date during the school year, we find that it works better to make connections with their entire grade & country group/s, rather than one buddy family.
Hence this program does not run when the school is in term.
